Race Overview: Cannon Fire gets the vote in this
competitive opener with Hi Humpfree and Killard Point rating the main
dangers. The selection was a fair second behind Tickateal last time out.
This longer trip looks sure to suit and off the same mark he looks the
one to be on. Hi Himpfree rates the main danger as he won well last time
out when defeating Imthihan but that was over a much longer trip and he
looks vulnerable under his penalty over this distance. Killard Point is
another that could go well on his latest second behind Friendly Request
but he is creeping up the weights for getting beat and is taken on with
this in mind. No Complaint was third behind Kilrossanty last time out
but he often finds less than expected off the bridle, while Vintage Gold
is from a shrewd in-form yard and should be watched in the market.
However, his overall profile leaves him with a little to find and for
the winner we return to Cannon Fire.

Race Overview: Kilcannon Supreme gets the confident vote
in the finale with Regal Tang and Rathcor rating the main dangers. The
selection was a fair fourth in a similar race behind The Polomoche on
his debut despite running green. He looks sure to improve and under
similar conditions he stands out as the one to be on. Regal Tang rates
the main danger as he hails from a yard that can ready a newcomer and
this Cois Na Tine gelding out of winning hurdler Wynyard Lady will not
have to be anything special to take a hand in the finish. Rathcor won at
Loughbrickland in an irsh point-to-pont in April beating Ross An Ri and
although the drop in trip has to be of concern he should be watched in
the market. Of the remainder, Grumpy Bee is a Needle Gun Gelding but he
is bred to be suited by a longer trip in time and for the winner we will
return to Kilcannon Supreme, who is taken to put his experience to good
use.
