Race Overview: Fantastisch, Country Affair and Masterpoint
are the three to catch the eye here, with Fantastisch the selection.
Placed on the Flat at Wolverhampton, Country Affair stayed on to take
third at Huntingdon on his hurdling bow. Promising though that was,
Country Affair looks ordinary and is taken on here. Masterpoint only won
a seller last time, and although he has won claimers on the Flat, he
looks potentially outclassed here and is also passed over. Fantastisch
won a Sandown handicap on the Flat and although finishing two and a half
lengths behind Country Affair last time, he made his move a bit early on
that occasion. Ridden with more restraint here, Fantastisch can get off
the mark over hurdles.

Race Overview: Piper Hayes sets a fair standard in the
finale and gets the vote here with Airman and Santinho rating the main
dangers. The selection was a fair fifth after a long break behind Or
Bleu last time out, looks sure to be suited by this faster surface and
with improvement likely he will be hard to beat. Airman rates the main
danger on his latest third behind The Polomoche, he looks sure to
improve but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a
longer trip in time. Santinho is another that could go well on his debut
fouth behind Ripalong Lad. He is another that is sure to improve but
that form has since been let down. Of the remainder Chances Go looked a
short runner on his debut while Khumbu looks very one paced and looks
the stables second string on jockey bookings and for the winner we
return to his stable companion Piper Hayes.
