Rugby: Vainikolo signing praised

Lesley Vainikolo has the potential to become on of the best players in the Rugby Union, according to Gloucester head coach Dean Ryan.

The 28-year-old player signed a three year deal and starts on July 1st. He scored 143 tries in 146 appearances for Super League side Bradford, and Ryan is confident that Vainikolo, arguably the most explosive and devastating finisher in Super League history, will prove on of the best under Gloucester.

On an international level Vainikolo has scored 14 tries in 12 appearances for New Zealand including nine during the 2000 World Cup.
