Martina Hingis out of the French

Martina Hingis, the former number one in
the world, has announced that she is pulling out of the French Open due
to hip injury. Hingis will miss the opportunity to add the French cup to
her Grand Slam collection.Russian
Evgenia Linetskaya is also pulling out for personal reasons.
The year's second Grand Slam begins at
Roland Garros in Paris on 27 May.
