William Hill who have made Roberto Donadoni, former Italy
coach, their odds on favourite to succeed Alan Curbihsley as
permanent boss.
'For some reason punters seem to be assuming that the next
Hammer's boss will be Italian' said Hill's spokesman Graham
Sharpe.

'There has been more interest in the Newcastle managerial
market than for any similar market other than the England
job - we even had to dissuade one customer from placing a
double on Glenn Hoddle getting both jobs!' said Hill's
spokesman Graham Sharpe.'In the end he just backed him for
the West Ham role'.
