Ronaldo negotiating new contract
Cristiano Ronaldo is talking to the
management of Manchester United to extend his contract with the Red
Devils. The current contract of the Portuguese player with Man Utd
expires in 2010 and he hopes to be able to extend this deadline.
However, Ronaldo told Arena 1, a Portuguese radio station, that he hopes
one day to play back in Spain. Manchester would like to keep the young
players for a while, according to the club's management, and it seems to
be a matter of time before the new contract is signed.
There have been rumours circulating the
press which linked Ronaldo with possible transfers to Real Madrid or
Barcelona, but for now it seems likely that he will extend his stay at
Old Trafford.
