Betting sites fear Murray after great performance

01/21/2009

WITH ANDY MURRAY cruising through his matches so far, William Hill now make him a 33/1shot to win the whole tournament without dropping a set.

Murray, who will cost the bookies a hughe payout if he goes all the way, is 4/9 to beat opponent Melzer in the next round with Hills who now make the Scot 5/2 second favourite to win the tournament, with Roger Federer 9/4 favourite. 'Although Federer has edged back to favouritism, Murray is still the man we fear as he has been heavily backed to win one or more Opens this year and he could cost us millions in the process.' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Murray is 80/1 odds to win the Grand Slam.

Murray to beat Melzer 3-0; 4/9; 3-1 16/5; 3-2 8/1.

Hills also offer: 7/2 Nadal; 7/1 Djokovic; 20/1 Tsonga; 25/1 Del Potro; 33/1 Monfils.

Women's Singles: 9/4 Serena Williams; 9/2 Dementieva; Jankovic; 9 Safina; 10 Ivanovic; 14 Azarenka; 16 Zvonareva; Wozniacki.
